There are over 70 million readers of blogs and advertisers have taken notice. This is why they are paying solid money for short descriptions of their products with accompanying text links on blogs. The descriptions provide a means of accessing the readers of the blog and the text links in boosting the product’s homepage in the search engine rankings.

If you have a blog there is no reason why you can not get in on the proverbial action. Today, there are a multitude of “pay to blog” services that match advertisers with bloggers, so the ability to earn a decent supplemental income is possible. The fees paid for text links can range depending upon the traffic to the blog and the most important criteria, Google Page Rank. Clearly, boosting your traffic and page rank would be most beneficial to do. While it would seem that most paid bloggers earn around $300-$500 a month, it is not out of the question to earn far more than that. And all of this is earned working from home with little to no overhead. That certainly beats a minimum wage part time job, doesn’t it?

There needs to be a caveat mentioned here: Google has grown weary of spam blogs (dubbed splogs) that exist exclusively to sell text links. As a way of punishing such sites Google has stripped these sites of their Page Rank rendering their ability to sell text links either non-existent or severely limited. As such, it is not wise to only rely on one blog as a means of pulling in text link revenue. But, if you are innovative and can create a quality blog there are tremendous benefits that can be reaped by them.
