Writing articles to promote products.?

So we have started in affiliate marketing, I do not want to go all out and spend money on PPC or my own domain or anything and Im not going to do this for a living just a little extra money, so I decided im only going to write articles and send to different places. The problem is that I have no idea where to start. Like lets go with I'm trying to sell an ebook on "learning playing guitar, I write my own website launch why they should buy this or is it better to give information on lead guitar learning they (very basic) and say whether they want to learn to play more you should buy this. Any suggestions on how best to do?

You have a demo of their product and let the client does the free trial … It might be interesting and compelling.
