How can a teacher in a small town participate in online dating / social websites?
I am single, healthy, positive, active, adventurous … and sometimes lonely. Coaching and teaching has swallowed a piece of my time .. and now I want to meet people. It seems that the best way these days through the Internet. The problem is that my students are wiz kids. I do not feel comfortable on dating sites, etc. unless it is completely anonymous .. without my photos. or description of a lot about myself. If you give me a picture or even mention what they do, boys can find out all about me because they publish my full name, contact information. And picture online at the website of my school. Obviously, the two concerns I have are: 1) students ever in my young business, and 2) with very little information. find out about me too. If Instead, I'd be happy to send my image, or to communicate openly. Any suggestions? I'd be dating .. or at least meet with friends.
Need to make a some 'old school' (no pun intended) research. Forget the Internet, too risky, as you said. As a teacher I know how in terms time the profession may be, but do your best to become more social. Go to a lot of educational conferences and want to talk. Chances are if you meet someone interesting to see again in another conference in the State. Be a social butterfly. Go to concerts, city events, maybe even the church. (If you believe in that.) Addition I do not exclude long-distance relationships. If you are thinking of the Internet you probably already considered this possibility. If you are off in summer, winter break, spring break, etc., do some traveling. There are many holiday destinations, cruises, etc., especially for singles. Chances are when you decide to find someone you want, just take the leap. Good luck!
