Those who have used social networking sites as a base of operations for spamming members usually find themselves thrown out of the community. Such people not only harm themselves but also make it difficult for others as such actions lead to anti-marketing policies on social networking sites. It goes without saying that such behavior should be avoided by anyone who is serious about using social networking sites as viable marketing tools.
